The first step is to add money to your International Roaming balance. We allows Student Wireless subscribers to add money to their International Roaming balance in amounts of $5, $10 or $20 at a time. Subscribers can add roaming by logging into their account Online, or by texting “ROAM” to 6700 from their Student Wireless phone.
Once you’ve added money to your International Roaming balance, you’ll pay just $0.05 to send an SMS text message from outside of the US, just $0.25 cents per minute to make and receive calls while roaming internationally, and $0.20 per MB of data. How do i know how much data i need each month?
You can see how much you’re using right now! Log into your account on your current carrier’s website and look for the section on how much data you use each month. You can also go into your phone’s settings (For iPhone: Settings > Cellular Data; For Android: Settings Menu > Data Usage > Select Dates). Do a little hunting around and see what you use.
